- 8 ounces lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
For the Beef:
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
For the Vegetables:
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: Prepare the lo mein noodles according to package directions. Rinse with cold water and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
- Cook the Beef and Vegetables: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Cook flank steak, then set aside. Add broccoli to the pan, steam, then add garlic, ginger, and green onions. Return steak to the pan.
- Combine Everything: Add cooked noodles and sauce to the pan. Toss until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles evenly.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve hot.

- You can substitute the flank steak with sirloin, chicken, or tofu.
