Enjoy a delicious homemade version of Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein with this easy stir-fry recipe. Tender flank steak, crisp broccoli, and flavorful noodles come together in a savory Asian-inspired dish that’s perfect for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Noodles:

  • 8 ounces lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)

For the Beef:

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

For the Vegetables:

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

For the Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Prepare the lo mein noodles according to package directions. Rinse with cold water and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef and Vegetables: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Cook flank steak, then set aside. Add broccoli to the pan, steam, then add garlic, ginger, and green onions. Return steak to the pan.
  4. Combine Everything: Add cooked noodles and sauce to the pan. Toss until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles evenly.
  5. Serve: Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute the flank steak with sirloin, chicken, or tofu.
  • Feel free to add bell peppers, snap peas, or carrots for extra vegetables.
