Description

These Beef Caprese Skewers are a delightful twist on the classic Caprese salad, featuring juicy beef sirloin cubes, creamy fresh mozzarella, sweet cherry tomatoes, and fragrant basil, all grilled to perfection and drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Caprese Skewers:

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. Prep Skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes if using.
  2. Preheat Grill: Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  3. Season Beef: Toss the beef cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Thread Skewers: Thread skewers by alternating beef cubes, mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, and basil leaves.
  5. Grill Skewers: Grill skewers for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your preferred doneness and the tomatoes are slightly blistered.
  6. Finish and Serve: Remove from the grill and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the beef in olive oil, garlic, and balsamic vinegar for 1–2 hours before grilling.
  • These skewers can also be broiled in the oven if a grill is not available.
