Description

These Best Ever Blueberry Cookies are soft, chewy, and bursting with juicy blueberries, making them the perfect summer treat. The addition of white chocolate chips adds a delightful sweetness to complement the tartness of the blueberries.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • 3/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (if using frozen, do not thaw)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Combine Remaining Ingredients: Gently fold in the white chocolate chips (if using) and blueberries, being careful not to crush the berries.
  6. Bake: Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are just set.
  7. Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking can help prevent spreading.
  • If using frozen berries, toss them lightly in flour before folding in to minimize streaking.
  • These cookies are soft, chewy, and bursting with juicy blueberries.
