Additional Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup mini pepperoni or chopped pepperoni
- 1/3 cup cooked ground Italian sausage (crumbled and drained)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (optional)
- warm marinara or pizza sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a mini muffin tin.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the milk and egg until combined. Add to dry ingredients.
- Add cheeses and toppings: Fold in the mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, sausage, and bell pepper if using.
- Fill muffin cups: Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake: Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
