  • 2 teaspoons butterfly pea flower tea (or 2 tea bags)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 12 teaspoons honey or simple syrup (to taste)

For Assembly:

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: tapioca pearls for boba-style tea
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Steep the Blue Tea: Steep butterfly pea flower tea in hot water for 5–7 minutes until a deep blue color develops. Remove the flowers or tea bags and stir in honey or sweetener while still warm. Let cool to room temperature or chill in the fridge.
  2. Assemble the Drink: In a glass, add ice and pour in the sweetened blue tea. Slowly pour milk over the top to create a beautiful layered effect. Stir before drinking. Add cooked tapioca pearls at the bottom if desired for a fun boba version. Garnish with mint leaves if serving immediately.
