- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Shape into oval patties.
- Sear the Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear the patties until browned, then set aside.
- Make the Mushroom Gravy: In the same skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Stir in flour, then gradually whisk in beef broth. Add thyme and simmer.
- Simmer and Serve: Return the patties to the pan, cover, and simmer until cooked through. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
