Ingredients
Scale
For the Buffalo Chicken Sliders
- 2–3 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls work great)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
For Toppings
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing (for drizzling)
- Lettuce
- Sliced pickles
- Thinly sliced red onion
- 1 tablespoon parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the shredded cooked chicken with the buffalo sauce until all pieces are evenly coated, ensuring a flavorful base for the sliders.
- Assemble the Sliders: Slice the slider buns horizontally in half and arrange the bottom halves evenly in a baking dish. Spread the buffalo chicken mixture over the buns, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese on top of the chicken. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
- Bake the Sliders: Loosely cover the assembled sliders with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns have a golden brown hue.
- Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, drizzle with ranch or blue cheese dressing as desired, and add optional toppings such as lettuce, pickles, thinly sliced red onion, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish. Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Using rotisserie chicken cuts down on prep time and adds flavor.
- Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce depending on your spice preference.
- Substitute cheese types according to taste or dietary preferences.
- Keep sliders covered with foil during baking to prevent buns from drying out.
- For a crispier top, remove foil in the last 2 minutes of baking.
- Sliders are best served fresh but can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Reheat in the oven wrapped in foil to maintain moisture.
