Description

These Cheeseburger Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make recipe perfect for parties, family dinners, or any casual gathering. Ground beef is seasoned and baked in a single dish, topped with melted American cheese, and served on soft dinner rolls. Customize with your favorite classic cheeseburger toppings such as ketchup, mustard, and pickles.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat Mixture

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 Tablespoon dried minced onion (or 1/2 cup chopped fresh onion)
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Toppings

  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 12 dinner rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare the meat mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, dried minced onion (or fresh chopped onion), seasoning salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Press the meat into the baking dish: Evenly press the meat mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13 inch baking dish, ensuring it’s spread uniformly for even cooking.
  4. Bake the meat: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 25 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink in the center. Note that the meat may shrink slightly during baking.
  5. Drain grease and add cheese: Remove the baking dish from the oven and carefully drain any grease from the pan. Arrange the American cheese slices evenly over the top of the baked meat.
  6. Melt the cheese: Return the dish to the oven for about 2 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted on top.
  7. Assemble sliders: Remove the dish from the oven and cut the baked meat into 12 equal squares. Place each meat square on the bottom half of a dinner roll and cover with the top half.
  8. Add toppings and serve: Serve the sliders with your favorite cheeseburger toppings such as ketchup, mustard, and pickles, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease.
  • Adjust the seasoning salt and pepper to taste depending on preference.
  • Feel free to substitute American cheese with cheddar or your favorite melting cheese.
  • Sliders can be customized with additional toppings including lettuce, tomato, or onion slices.
  • Serve warm for optimal taste and texture.
