Description

Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Smoked Sausage is a delicious one-pan meal that combines tender baby potatoes and savory smoked sausage, coated with ranch seasoning and topped with melted cheese. This dish is easy to prepare and perfect for a satisfying family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Baby Potatoes:

  • 1 1/2 pounds baby potatoes, quartered

Smoked Sausage:

  • 14 ounces smoked sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds

Other:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the ingredients: Toss the quartered potatoes and sliced smoked sausage with olive oil, ranch seasoning mix, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Bake: Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and roast for 30–35 minutes until potatoes are tender and golden brown, stirring halfway through.
  4. Add cheese: Sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese, then return to the oven for 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted.
  5. Finish and serve: Top with green onions and parsley, if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use Yukon gold, red, or fingerling potatoes for variation.
  • For extra crispiness, broil for 2–3 minutes after adding the cheese.
  • This dish can also be prepared in a cast iron skillet or as foil packets on the grill.
