Cheesecake Layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping:
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Mix Brownie Batter: Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions. Pour most of the batter into the pan, reserving about 1/3 cup.
- Prepare Cheesecake Layer: In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over brownie batter.
- Add Cherry Filling: Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the cheesecake layer.
- Swirl and Bake: Dollop reserved brownie batter over the top and swirl gently with a knife. Bake for 35–40 minutes until set.
