Chicken and Filling

- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Calzone Dough
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought)
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Cook Chicken: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken breasts into the air fryer basket and cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- Prepare Alfredo Sauce (if homemade): In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Whisk in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
- Combine Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, half of the shredded mozzarella cheese, and garlic powder. Fold in fresh spinach if using.
- Shape Dough Circles: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into circles approximately 6 inches in diameter.
- Fill and Seal Calzones: Spoon the chicken Alfredo filling onto one half of each dough circle. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the filling. Fold the dough over to cover the filling and press the edges to seal, using a fork to crimp the edges securely.
- Air Fry Calzones: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray both sides of the calzones with olive oil spray. Place them in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes until the calzones are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
