Description

Indulge in these rich and decadent Chocolate Fudge Cookies that are loaded with semisweet chocolate chips for the ultimate chocolatey treat. These cookies are soft, chewy, and perfect for any chocolate lover!

Ingredients

Scale

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (additional for mix-in)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and melted chocolate.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the additional chocolate chips.
  4. Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers still look slightly soft.
  5. Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra gooey cookies, slightly underbake and allow them to finish setting as they cool.
  • You can add chopped nuts or a pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor.
