Cinnamon Swirl:
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Optional Glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix egg, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth. Add to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Create swirl: Mix cinnamon and sugar for swirl. Layer batter, swirl mixture, and remaining batter in loaf pan. Swirl with a knife.
- Bake: Bake for 45–50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Optional glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over cooled bread.
