Description

A rich and flavorful Creamy Garlic Chicken recipe featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a luscious garlic-infused cream sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

For Cooking

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter is melted and combined with the oil.
  2. Season the chicken: Season the chicken breasts evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to infuse flavor.
  3. Cook the chicken: Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  4. Set chicken aside: Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and place it on a plate to rest.
  5. Sauté garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  6. Create the sauce: Pour the heavy cream and chicken broth into the skillet, stirring to combine with the garlic and pan drippings.
  7. Simmer the sauce: Let the sauce simmer gently for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  8. Return chicken to skillet: Place the cooked chicken breasts back into the skillet with the sauce and cook for another 3-4 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken to coat.
  9. Garnish and serve: Garnish the dish with freshly chopped parsley before serving for a bright finish.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, add a splash of white wine to the sauce before simmering.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta to soak up the flavorful sauce.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, simmer a bit longer or add a small amount of cornstarch slurry.
  • Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days.
