Instructions

  1. Prepare Tomatoes: Sprinkle the tomato slices with salt and let them sit on paper towels for 10 minutes to draw out excess moisture and enhance texture.
  2. Prepare Coating Stations: In a shallow dish, combine the flour and black pepper. In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk. In a third bowl, mix the cornmeal, breadcrumbs, paprika, and cayenne pepper, providing a flavorful and crispy coating.
