Chicken:
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Sauce:
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of celery soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Stuffing and Vegetables:
- 1 (6 oz) box stuffing mix
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place in the bottom of a greased slow cooker.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a medium bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, sour cream, and chicken broth. Pour over the chicken.
- Add Stuffing and Vegetables: Sprinkle stuffing mix over the top, add frozen vegetables (if using), and dot with butter.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Shred and Serve: Shred chicken, mix gently, and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use herb-seasoned stuffing mix.
- You can substitute plain Greek yogurt for sour cream if desired.
- This recipe can be doubled for larger slow cookers.
