Ingredients
Scale
Cream Cheese Mixture
- 1/2 cup Cream Cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Strawberries, diced
Quesadillas & Topping
- 4 Tortillas (6 inch)
- 2 tbsp Butter, softened
- 1 tsp Sugar (for topping)
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (for topping)
Dipping Sauce
- Strawberry sauce for dipping (quantity as desired)
Instructions
- Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat together until smooth to create a creamy base.
- Add Strawberries: Dice the fresh strawberries and gently fold them into the cream cheese mixture until evenly combined, ensuring a fruity, creamy filling.
- Spread on Tortilla: Take one tortilla and spread half of the strawberry cream cheese mixture evenly over it.
- Heat Butter in Pan: Heat 1 teaspoon of butter in a pan over medium-high heat until melted and hot.
- Place Tortilla in Pan: Place the cream cheese spread tortilla in the pan, cream cheese side up, ready for sandwiching.
- Top with Second Tortilla: Spread an additional teaspoon of butter on the second tortilla and place it butter side up on top of the first tortilla to form a sandwich.
- Cook Both Sides: Cook the quesadilla for 2-3 minutes on each side until both sides are crispy and golden brown.
- Sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar: Mix together the 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, then sprinkle this cinnamon sugar blend over the cooked quesadilla.
- Repeat or Cook Simultaneously: Repeat the procedure for the second quesadilla. Alternatively, use a griddle to cook both quesadillas simultaneously for efficiency.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the quesadillas from heat and let them sit for 2 minutes. Then slice into wedges and serve warm with strawberry sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to make spreading easier and smoother mixing.
- Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
- Be careful not to overcook the quesadillas; they should be crispy but not burnt.
- Strawberry sauce can be store-bought or homemade for dipping, depending on preference.
- This recipe is best served immediately to enjoy the warm, creamy texture.
