  • 12 Tablespoons Butter
  • 16 cups Rice Krispies Cereal

Coloring

  • Pink Food Coloring
  • Purple Food Coloring
  • Yellow Food Coloring
  • Blue Food Coloring

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marshmallow mixture: In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Divide and color the mixture: Remove the pot from heat and divide the marshmallow mixture evenly into four large mixing bowls. Add a few drops of pink, purple, yellow, and blue food coloring to each bowl respectively. Stir each bowl well to combine the colors evenly.
  3. Mix with cereal: Quickly add 4 cups of Rice Krispies cereal to each colored marshmallow mixture bowl. Stir gently but thoroughly until the cereal is well coated in the colored marshmallow.
  4. Form treats: Lightly grease your hands with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking. Shape the colored Rice Krispie mixture into egg shapes. You can create multiple smaller treats or a few larger ones depending on your preference.
  5. Cool and set: Place the shaped treats on parchment paper or a greased baking sheet to cool and set for at least 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, work quickly when mixing marshmallows and cereal as the mixture hardens as it cools.
  • Use gloves or butter your hands to prevent sticking when shaping the treats.
  • Customize colors by mixing food coloring shades or adding sprinkles for extra decoration.
  • Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
