Salmon Mixture:
- 2 cups cooked salmon (flaked)
- 2 cups cooked pasta (such as rotini or elbow)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
Topping:
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine all the Salmon Mixture ingredients until evenly coated. Transfer to the baking dish.
- Add Topping: Combine breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
- Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until hot and bubbly with a golden top.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Canned salmon can be used instead of cooked salmon, ensuring it’s drained and bones/skin removed.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute cooked rice for pasta.
