Vegetables:

  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 medium carrot, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped

Sauce and Seasonings:

  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté Aromatics: Heat oil in a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Cook Beef: Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  3. Add Vegetables: Stir in potatoes, carrots, bell pepper.
  4. Simmer: Pour in tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, soy sauce, fish sauce, black pepper, raisins, peas, bay leaf. Simmer covered for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Finish and Serve: Remove bay leaf, adjust seasoning, serve hot with rice.
