Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Garlic Butter
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Other
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Optional: sliced pickles for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 7–8 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula for even cooking.
- Season the Beef: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Remove from heat and let the beef mixture cool slightly to prevent soaking the tortillas.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic thoroughly. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.
- Assemble the Rollups: Lay each flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly spread the cooled beef mixture over the tortillas, then sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top.
- Roll and Bake: Roll each tortilla tightly, folding in the sides to seal in the filling. Place each roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops generously with the garlic butter mixture to add flavor and promote browning. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, until roll-ups are golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let the roll-ups cool slightly. Slice into pinwheels if desired. Garnish with sliced pickles and serve warm to enjoy the full cheesy, garlicky goodness.
Notes
- For a lower-fat option, use reduced-fat cheese and lean ground beef.
- Ensure the beef mixture cools before assembling to keep tortillas from becoming soggy.
- You can substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat for added fiber.
- Adding sliced pickles adds a nice tangy contrast to the rich beef and cheese filling.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to retain crispiness.
