- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Additional:
- 4–6 pita or flatbreads
- Sliced red onion
- Chopped tomatoes
- Shredded lettuce or arugula
- Crumbled feta cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, red wine vinegar, Greek yogurt, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add chicken, coat well, and marinate in the refrigerator for 1-12 hours.
- Prepare Tzatziki: Combine all tzatziki ingredients, mix thoroughly, and refrigerate.
- Cook the Chicken: Grill or cook chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked and charred.
- Assemble Gyros: Slice chicken thinly. Warm pita, fill with chicken, onion, tomatoes, lettuce, and tzatziki. Top with feta and serve.
