Description

  • 1½ cups rolled oats

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional:

  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the crispy rice cereal and rolled oats.
  3. Prepare Wet Mixture: In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix honey, peanut butter, brown sugar, and salt until smooth. Remove from heat, add vanilla extract.
  4. Combine and Cool: Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients, mix well. Let cool slightly.
  5. Add Optional Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Press into Pan: Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan.
  7. Chill and Cut: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting into bars. Store in an airtight container.
