For the Wings:
- 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
For the Lemon Pepper Butter:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry and toss with baking powder, salt, black pepper, and vegetable oil. Place on a wire rack over a baking sheet and bake for 40–45 minutes.
- Make the Lemon Pepper Butter: Mix melted butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic powder, and cracked black pepper in a bowl.
- Coat the Wings: Toss the baked wings with the lemon pepper butter mixture until well coated.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, refrigerate seasoned wings uncovered on a wire rack overnight before baking.
- You can also air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes, shaking halfway through.
