Ingredients
Scale
Spinach and Cheese Mixture
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup almond flour (or all-purpose flour)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate even baking.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the chopped spinach, crumbled feta, grated Parmesan, almond flour, egg, olive oil, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until the mixture is well incorporated and will hold together when formed.
- Form Crisps: Using small spoonfuls of the mixture, shape them into round balls or small patties and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing each about 2 inches apart to ensure even cooking.
- Bake: Bake the crisps in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the baking time to achieve a consistent golden brown color and crisp edges.
- Cool and Garnish: Remove the crisps from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Optionally, garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Almond flour can be substituted with all-purpose flour if preferred.
- Flipping the crisps halfway through baking ensures even crisping on both sides.
- These crisps are best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For a vegan version, use a flax egg and vegan cheeses.
