Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Filling and Toppings
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
- 3 to 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- Chocolate syrup for drizzling
- Maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until the mixture is well blended. Press this evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form a firm, even crust layer.
- Make the cream cheese layer: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture uniformly over the graham cracker crust.
- Layer the fruits: Arrange a layer of sliced bananas over the cream cheese, then spread the drained crushed pineapple evenly on top of the bananas.
- Add whipped topping: Spread the thawed whipped topping evenly over the fruit layers to provide a light and creamy texture.
- Top with strawberries and nuts: Scatter the sliced strawberries over the whipped topping layer, and then sprinkle the chopped walnuts or pecans evenly on top.
- Garnish and chill: Drizzle chocolate syrup over the entire dessert and place maraschino cherries on top for a finishing touch. Cover and refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours to allow it to set and flavors to meld before serving.
