Description

These no-bake Peanut Butter Bars combine the creamy richness of peanut butter with a crunchy graham cracker base, topped with a smooth chocolate-peanut butter layer. Perfectly sweet and easy to prepare, they’re ideal for satisfying your dessert cravings without turning on the oven.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Layer

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Make the Base Mixture: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, melted unsalted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and all ingredients are well integrated.
  2. Press Into Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch pan lightly, then press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the pan. Smooth the surface with a spatula to ensure an even layer.
  3. Melt Chocolate Topping: Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is melted and creamy.
  4. Apply Chocolate Layer: Pour the melted chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the base layer in the pan. Spread it evenly using a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  5. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the assembled bars for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate topping is firm and set completely. After chilling, cut into 24 squares and serve.

Notes

  • For a crunchier texture, toast the graham crackers before mixing.
  • Use creamy peanut butter for smooth consistency, but chunky can be substituted for added texture.
  • Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • To soften the topping for easier cutting, let bars sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before slicing.
