Description

These delicious Peanut Butter Bars combine a creamy peanut butter base with a smooth chocolate topping, creating a perfect no-bake treat. Easy to make and satisfying, these bars are ideal for parties, snacks, or dessert cravings.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Mix the base ingredients: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, melted unsalted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it is smooth and well incorporated.
  2. Press the base into pan: Grease a 9×13-inch pan lightly, then evenly press the peanut butter mixture into the pan. Use a spatula to smooth out the top for an even layer.
  3. Melt the chocolate topping: Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Spread the chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture over the base layer in the pan. Spread evenly using a spatula to cover the entire surface.
  5. Refrigerate to set: Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate topping is firm and set. Once solid, cut into 24 bars and serve.

Notes

  • Use creamy peanut butter for smooth texture; crunchy peanut butter will alter the consistency.
  • Ensure the butter is melted but not hot to avoid melting the powdered sugar too much.
  • You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with dark or milk chocolate chips based on preference.
  • Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh up to one week.
  • For easier cutting, allow bars to come to room temperature for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
