  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla: Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix wet and dry: Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Bake: Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 22–26 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  7. Cool and cut: Cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares.

Notes
