Ingredients
Scale
Sweetened Condensed Milk Brigadeiro:
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios (finely ground)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Rolling:
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pistachios
Instructions
- Cook the Brigadeiro Mixture: In a nonstick saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, ground pistachios, butter, sea salt, and vanilla extract. Stir continuously for 10–15 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides and bottom of the pan.
- Cool and Shape: Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Transfer to a plate or bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until firm. Once chilled, grease your hands lightly with butter and scoop small portions of the mixture, rolling them into 1-inch balls.
- Coat and Serve: Roll each ball in the finely chopped pistachios to coat. Place in mini paper cups or on a serving tray.
Notes
- Use roasted and unsalted pistachios for the best flavor.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
- These make great party treats or edible gifts.
