Burger Patties:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Quesadilla Assembly:
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup diced tomato
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons salsa
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
Instructions
- Burger Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and chili powder. Form into 4 equal patties. Cook for 4–5 minutes per side.
- Quesadilla Assembly: Place 4 tortillas on a work surface. Sprinkle with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. Top with a burger patty, onion, tomato, and cilantro. Add more cheese and top with remaining tortillas. Cook each quesadilla burger for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown. Slice and serve with sour cream and salsa.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños inside the quesadilla.
- You can swap the beef for chicken or turkey.
- To save time, cook the burger patties and prep toppings in advance.
