Instructions
- Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
- Add Vegetables: Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for another 3–4 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft.
- Make Sauce: Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
- Toast Buns: Toast the buns in butter if desired.
- Assemble: Spoon the mixture onto bun halves, top with the other halves, and serve warm.
