- 1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk, room temperature

Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract, then add the egg and egg yolk, mixing well.
- Blend Dry and Wet Mixtures: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake: Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheets. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set but centers are slightly underbaked.
- Cool: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
