Description

Quench your thirst with this refreshing Strawberry Agua Fresca recipe. Made with fresh strawberries, lime juice, and a hint of sweetness, this Mexican-inspired fruit water is perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (hulled)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 23 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 24 tablespoons honey or sugar (to taste)
  • ice cubes (for serving)
  • optional: fresh mint leaves or extra lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine strawberries, 2 cups of the water, lime juice, and sweetener.
  2. Blend until completely smooth.

  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove seeds and pulp, if desired.
  4. Stir in the remaining 2 cups of cold water.

  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime as needed.
  6. Chill until ready to serve.

  7. Pour over ice and garnish with fresh mint or lime slices if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
  • For a sparkling twist, replace half of the water with sparkling water just before serving.
  • Can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
