Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh strawberries (hulled)
- 4 cups cold water
- 2–3 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 2–4 tablespoons honey or sugar (to taste)
- ice cubes (for serving)
- optional: fresh mint leaves or extra lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a blender, combine strawberries, 2 cups of the water, lime juice, and sweetener.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove seeds and pulp, if desired.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or lime as needed.
- Pour over ice and garnish with fresh mint or lime slices if desired.
Blend until completely smooth.
Stir in the remaining 2 cups of cold water.
Chill until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
- For a sparkling twist, replace half of the water with sparkling water just before serving.
- Can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
