- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Strawberry Filling:
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam or preserves
Egg Wash:
- 1 large egg, beaten
Optional:

Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, unfold the puff pastry and cut it into 6 equal squares. Shape each square into a heart.
- Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread the mixture on each pastry heart.
- Add the Strawberry Filling: Spoon strawberry jam on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Assemble and Bake: Brush pastry edges with beaten egg, place hearts on the baking sheet, and bake for 14–17 minutes until golden brown.
- Finish and Serve: Cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
