Description

This Supreme Pizza Crescent Ring is a delicious and easy-to-make savory treat featuring a flaky crescent roll dough encasing a classic supreme pizza filling of mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, ham, bell pepper, and olives. Perfect for sharing, this baked ring offers all the favorite pizza flavors in a fun and impressive presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated Pillsburyâ„¢ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count each)

Filling

  • 1 cup Muir Glenâ„¢ organic pizza sauce (from 15-oz can)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 3 slices ham, chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sliced ripe olives

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Heat oven to 350°F. Line a large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper or a silicone nonstick baking mat to prevent sticking during baking.
  2. Arrange Dough in Ring Shape: Unroll both cans of crescent roll dough and separate into 8 rectangles total. On the ungreased cookie sheet, arrange the dough rectangles in a ring shape, aligning the short sides to form a 5-inch circle in the center. The dough edges will overlap slightly to create a base for the filling.
  3. Add Sauce and Toppings: Spread 1 cup of pizza sauce evenly within the dough ring, close to the center. Layer on 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by the 1/2 cup pepperoni slices, chopped ham, chopped green bell pepper, and sliced olives. This combination provides the classic supreme pizza flavor.
  4. Fold Dough Over Filling: Carefully bring the edges of each dough rectangle up over the filling and tuck the edges under the bottom layer of dough to seal the filling inside. Repeat this all around the ring until the filling is mostly enclosed, though some pieces of filling might be slightly visible.
  5. Bake and Cool: Bake the crescent ring for 25 to 30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and thoroughly cooked. Allow the ring to cool for 5 minutes before slicing into wedges and serving.

Notes

  • Use a silicone baking mat or parchment paper to ensure easy removal from the baking sheet.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings to your liking, such as adding mushrooms or onions.
  • Ensure the dough edges are sealed well to prevent filling from leaking out during baking.
  • Let the ring cool slightly before serving to allow the filling to set.
