Description

Indulge in these Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Bites, a delightful and easy-to-make healthy snack that combines the sweetness of bananas with the richness of peanut butter and dark chocolate. These frozen treats are perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings guilt-free!

Ingredients

Scale

Banana Peanut Butter Bites:

  • 2 ripe bananas sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 1/3 cup natural peanut butter

Chocolate Coating:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Flaky sea salt for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Banana Bites: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread a small amount of peanut butter onto half of the banana slices, then top with the remaining slices to create banana ‘sandwiches.’
  2. Freeze the Bites: Place them on the baking sheet and freeze for 30–60 minutes until firm.
  3. Make the Chocolate Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Coat the Bites: Dip each frozen banana bite into the melted chocolate, coating halfway or fully, then return to the parchment-lined tray.
  5. Set and Serve: Sprinkle with sea salt if desired. Freeze for another 15–20 minutes until set. Store in the freezer in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Use almond butter or sunflower seed butter for a nut-free or alternative option.
  • These make a great post-workout snack or healthy dessert for kids and adults alike.
