Description

These Wedge Salad Skewers are a fun twist on the classic wedge salad, perfect for parties or gatherings. Crisp iceberg lettuce, savory bacon, juicy cherry tomatoes, tangy blue cheese, and zesty red onion are threaded onto skewers and served with a creamy blue cheese dressing.

Ingredients

Scale

Lettuce Skewers:

  • 1 small head iceberg lettuce (cut into bite-sized chunks)
  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon (cooked and cut into pieces)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/4 cup red onion (thinly sliced)
  • wooden skewers

For the Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese

Instructions

  1. Lettuce Skewers: Thread a piece of iceberg lettuce, a cherry tomato, a piece of bacon, red onion slices, and blue cheese onto each skewer. Repeat layering, ending with lettuce or tomato.
  2. For the Dressing: Whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and blue cheese until smooth.
  3. Serve the skewers chilled with the blue cheese dressing for dipping or drizzling.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • If preparing ahead, store skewers and dressing separately until serving time.
